Q1: Is Mentor only appropriate for multi‑location operations?
The Mentor platform is ideal for gyms with 20+ staff, especially if you have multiple locations. Smaller gyms will likely get more benefit by starting with the per‑seat Climbing Shoes series to gain access to the ready-made gear training without the recurring monthly expense, then upgrade to the full platform if you determine a more robust training system makes sense to help minimize the repetitive training burden.
Q2: Can I add my own training materials?
Yes. On the full platform plans, you can upload videos, PDFs, text docs, quizzes, and worksheets, and turn them into structured courses for any role in your gym. The Climbing Shoe Series of classes purchased per user does not include access to upload your own content.
Q3: What if I just want the ready-made gear training?
Then the Climbing Shoes 3‑part series on a per‑seat basis is a great fit. You’ll get high‑quality, brand‑agnostic gear education created by WeighMyRack, and each staff member receives a certificate when they finish. If you have 30 employees or more, it generally is cheaper to utilize the monthly full platform plan because any new employee can be enrolled at no additional cost.
Q4: How do I track who’s completed what?
The progress tracking dashboards are included in the Unlimited platform plan (annual or monthly). You get a graphical Training Matrix which clearly shows who has started and/or completed which courses, as well as a real-time report which is a searchable, sortable list of each staff member and their course activity. The per‑seat course access does not include manager‑level tracking, which is why the per seat plan is typically best for gyms with a staff numbers that small enough to be easily managed by 1 person.
Q5: Is your content brand agnostic?
Yes. All current and future courses created by WeighMyRack and made available on Mentor are fully brand‑agnostic. We focus on principles, enabling the information to be applied across all experience levels.

Q6: Do I need LMS experience to be proficient with Mentor?
No. The Mentor platform is incredibly easy to start using. Most gym owners we talk to are still primarily using a combination of G-suite, ADP, shadowing and binders. And for Unlimited platform plan members, our onboarding clearly walks you through the easy setup, quickly importing your existing content, and creating simple course tracks for your staff. We also offer ongoing support for anyone who would like more guidance.
Q7: Can you help us build out our own courses?
Yes. During onboarding, we’ll help import your existing docs and outline courses like onboarding, safety protocols, customer service, and more. If you would prefer a done-for-you system, we do offer a white glove service in which we come in and create your new training system based on your unique needs.
